I prepared a hero image in Slider Revolution to use on the home page. How can I get it to display at the top so that upon loading, the full hero is visible?

    Hi Sheryl,

Do you want the slider image to be behind the header like this example - http://polytechnic.themeisland.net/revolution-slider-home-page/

Or do you just want to remove the top gap?

for the example link provided, when you imported the demo-content.xml, there should be a page call "Revolution Slider Home Page" in Pages, which you can use to replicate this. There is a custom class in the module which triggers some js/css in the theme to make the header overlay.

To simply remove the gap (in the second option)  can come up with a custom css snippet

Behind the header (first link). I did not import any of the demo content. Would it be a problem importing demo content now after all my pages are built? I remember reading somewhere (a different theme, possibly) that the demo content should be imported before creating content.

    Hi Sheryl,

I'm attaching some screenshots to provide how to build this manually for reference.

Importing the demo content will import pages, posts, menus, images, etc. As stated in the documentation, it's recommended to import this Demo-Content so that you have all of the different things included with the theme, including these types of builds/layouts to extend or just reference. You are likely to run into several things that will not match the demo if you have not imported this. I'm not sure you want to import this if you have significant work already done on your site, so if you are interested in importing this, I highly recommend backing up your site first.

    Kind Regards,
    Charles

I copied all the settings shown on your screenshots, but there is still a gap between the header and the slider.

Before contacting you again, I set up a new test site where I installed the theme and demo content and set the Revolution Slider Home page as the Home Page. As far as I can tell, all the settings are the same on the demo as on my page, yet my page is still wrong.
