Hi, I went through the whole process of installation and attempted to set up a mega menu for WELCOME, but i think I'm missing pages, like all the sermon pages (page, archive and catalog, etc...) The home page is not matching and think maybe the Theme Customizer: Base package didn't install? Since the documentation seems a little outdated, I am not quite sure how to approach the missing pages and demo not matching up to your demo. I noticed the Ajaxy live search plugin is missing, but I can probably use another plugin. Overall, i think I am at 90% complete, but would really need the Sermon page templates to guide me in creation and help with why the home page is not displaying correctly.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi bnation1,

It looks like you're really close!

01 - Demo-Content: First thing that likely happened is related to the Demo-Content.xml import process (step 1.1 in the documentation). This is the most common place for issues. If you are not seeing the posts/pages/media/sermons/menus/etc. then this did not go through, or only partially when through. My recommendation is to check to see if this imported. If it did not, then I'd recommend checking your limitations (see this article) and trying again. Just note, menu items are the one item in WP that can get duplicated, so you may need to clean up your menu(s) after - if this needs to get imported several times.

02 - Mega Menu: From there, it's possible that the Mega Menu theme did not get autoloaded... hard to tell without visual confirmation. First, follow step 4.2.1 in the documentation. If you don't see "Passage - Primary" listed as one of the options, you can manually import this by navigating to Mega Menu > Tools > Import Theme. You'll need to also navigate into the theme-download-package > WP Passage > Resources > Demo_Data > and open Mega-Menu-Theme-Import.txt. Copy the text into the text-area and hit import. Then follow 4.2.1 again.

03 - After that, follow the steps to build out the Mega Menu widget/items. Unfortunately, these items are not able to be imported with an automated process.

If you're still having issues or if there is something not covered in the documentation, you're welcome to provide a temp login and I can provide some additional insight specific to where you are currently at. If you need me to perform a task, I can, but this falls beyond the scope of support. In this case you'll just want to ensure that you have your site backed up as I can't be held responsible for backing up your site or if something happens. Plus, it's good practice to do this regularly if you are not doing it already

Let me know where that leaves you.

    Kind Regards,
    Charles

    Hi There,

01 - The page that you are referring to is the taxonomy-category page. It's not actually a page that you build, rather it's a WP default based on the categories that you setup. For example, based on what I see on your site, your's is going to be something like this:

    http://oc3.xyz/sermon-category/worship/

Where "worship" can be swapped out for any other "sermon-categories" that you create.

02 - Try adding "mailto:" prior to the email like this:

    mailto:ff@firefighters.org

03 - I looked into this and will need to add this to my next sprint.

    Kind Regards,

    Charles

Thanks, the "mailto" helped.  Can you point me to how I can update the Mobile Menu picture? I see "Passage" on my phone but can't find where to change the picture in the Dashboard.

Also, something I am wondering... on my phone (mobile) when I selected "Media" from the Primary Menu and then select Audio Sermons (Green Button on next page) I noticed it took a long time to load. Is it trying to "preload" all audio links in the following page? And if so, is there a way to control this (as the Custom Sermon Player I created, I selected "-1" in the Build/Playlist Count and wonder when I end up with hundreds of Audio Sermons, do I need to control it with a value like 10, to make it display 10 at a time per page and to control any possible "preload" wait time?

Thanks, I look forward to  your reply and your update for picture added to the Latest Sermons Widget Title in the future.  :)

...and I think I found another bug, when I "search" by author its not producing anything. I checked a few sermons I input and no results.

01 - Since the mobile menu is being manage with the Responsive Menu plugin, you can manage this in Responsive Menu > Container (tab) > Title Image (option set).

02a - Loads fine for me. It's not preloading anything, just doing a standard WP Query for those posts. If you're really interested, you can use something like https://tools.pingdom.com/ to see the waterfall to diagnose where the load might be coming from or where you can speed this up.

02b - You can use a lower number in the query if you think it helps. I've updated this to support pagination (http://passage.themeisland.net/sermons/sermons-catalog/).

03 - You will need to extend the standard WP search functionality. Here is what I found in a quick Google search:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/32958075/how-to-include-authors-users-in-the-results-for-the-native-wordpress-search

    https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/131340/how-to-add-the-author-search-in-the-default-wordpress-search

Extending the native functionality of WP falls beyond the scope of support. I can consider including a solution in the theme if you find something that works for you. I can also look into this, but it's not likely to happen before the new year, and I can't make any promises for adding this functionality at this time.

04 - Supporting Audio Only in the Latest Widget module is still in my backlog and will be moved into the next sprint time willing.
